CVE-2024-11831 1 Redhat 35 Acm, Advanced Cluster Security, Ansible Automation Platform and 32 more 2025-03-12 5.4 Medium
A flaw was found in npm-serialize-javascript. The vulnerability occurs because the serialize-javascript module does not properly sanitize certain inputs, such as regex or other JavaScript object types, allowing an attacker to inject malicious code. This code could be executed when deserialized by a web browser, causing Cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks. This issue is critical in environments where serialized data is sent to web clients, potentially compromising the security of the website or web application using this package.
CVE-2023-44487 32 Akka, Amazon, Apache and 29 more 364 Http Server, Opensearch Data Prepper, Apisix and 361 more 2025-03-07 7.5 High
The HTTP/2 protocol allows a denial of service (server resource consumption) because request cancellation can reset many streams quickly, as exploited in the wild in August through October 2023.
CVE-2024-12085 1 Redhat 8 Enterprise Linux, Logging, Openshift and 5 more 2025-02-27 7.5 High
A flaw was found in rsync which could be triggered when rsync compares file checksums. This flaw allows an attacker to manipulate the checksum length (s2length) to cause a comparison between a checksum and uninitialized memory and leak one byte of uninitialized stack data at a time.
CVE-2024-12797 1 Redhat 4 Discovery, Enterprise Linux, Logging and 1 more 2025-02-18 6.3 Medium
Issue summary: Clients using RFC7250 Raw Public Keys (RPKs) to authenticate a server may fail to notice that the server was not authenticated, because handshakes don't abort as expected when the SSL_VERIFY_PEER verification mode is set. Impact summary: TLS and DTLS connections using raw public keys may be vulnerable to man-in-middle attacks when server authentication failure is not detected by clients. RPKs are disabled by default in both TLS clients and TLS servers. The issue only arises when TLS clients explicitly enable RPK use by the server, and the server, likewise, enables sending of an RPK instead of an X.509 certificate chain. The affected clients are those that then rely on the handshake to fail when the server's RPK fails to match one of the expected public keys, by setting the verification mode to SSL_VERIFY_PEER. Clients that enable server-side raw public keys can still find out that raw public key verification failed by calling SSL_get_verify_result(), and those that do, and take appropriate action, are not affected. This issue was introduced in the initial implementation of RPK support in OpenSSL 3.2. The FIPS modules in 3.4, 3.3, 3.2, 3.1 and 3.0 are not affected by this issue.
CVE-2023-38037 1 Redhat 3 Logging, Satellite, Satellite Capsule 2025-02-15 3.3 Low
ActiveSupport::EncryptedFile writes contents that will be encrypted to a temporary file. The temporary file's permissions are defaulted to the user's current `umask` settings, meaning that it's possible for other users on the same system to read the contents of the temporary file. Attackers that have access to the file system could possibly read the contents of this temporary file while a user is editing it. All users running an affected release should either upgrade or use one of the workarounds immediately.
CVE-2025-25184 1 Redhat 1 Logging 2025-02-14 6.5 Medium
Rack provides an interface for developing web applications in Ruby. Prior to versions 2.2.11, 3.0.12, and 3.1.10, Rack::CommonLogger can be exploited by crafting input that includes newline characters to manipulate log entries. The supplied proof-of-concept demonstrates injecting malicious content into logs. When a user provides the authorization credentials via Rack::Auth::Basic, if success, the username will be put in env['REMOTE_USER'] and later be used by Rack::CommonLogger for logging purposes. The issue occurs when a server intentionally or unintentionally allows a user creation with the username contain CRLF and white space characters, or the server just want to log every login attempts. If an attacker enters a username with CRLF character, the logger will log the malicious username with CRLF characters into the logfile. Attackers can break log formats or insert fraudulent entries, potentially obscuring real activity or injecting malicious data into log files. Versions 2.2.11, 3.0.12, and 3.1.10 contain a fix.
CVE-2024-28180 2 Go-jose Project, Redhat 14 Go-jose, Acm, Advanced Cluster Security and 11 more 2025-02-13 4.3 Medium
Package jose aims to provide an implementation of the Javascript Object Signing and Encryption set of standards. An attacker could send a JWE containing compressed data that used large amounts of memory and CPU when decompressed by Decrypt or DecryptMulti. Those functions now return an error if the decompressed data would exceed 250kB or 10x the compressed size (whichever is larger). This vulnerability has been patched in versions 4.0.1, 3.0.3 and 2.6.3.
CVE-2024-1086 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 2 more 23 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 20 more 2025-02-13 7.8 High
A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's netfilter: nf_tables component can be exploited to achieve local privilege escalation. The nft_verdict_init() function allows positive values as drop error within the hook verdict, and hence the nf_hook_slow() function can cause a double free vulnerability when NF_DROP is issued with a drop error which resembles NF_ACCEPT. We recommend upgrading past commit f342de4e2f33e0e39165d8639387aa6c19dff660.
CVE-2023-6931 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat 6 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 3 more 2025-02-13 7.8 High
A heap out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Performance Events system component can be exploited to achieve local privilege escalation. A perf_event's read_size can overflow, leading to an heap out-of-bounds increment or write in perf_read_group(). We recommend upgrading past commit 382c27f4ed28f803b1f1473ac2d8db0afc795a1b.
CVE-2023-6817 2 Linux, Redhat 8 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Logging and 5 more 2025-02-13 7.8 High
A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's netfilter: nf_tables component can be exploited to achieve local privilege escalation. The function nft_pipapo_walk did not skip inactive elements during set walk which could lead double deactivations of PIPAPO (Pile Packet Policies) elements, leading to use-after-free. We recommend upgrading past commit 317eb9685095678f2c9f5a8189de698c5354316a.
CVE-2023-5717 2 Linux, Redhat 5 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Logging and 2 more 2025-02-13 7.8 High
A heap out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Linux Kernel Performance Events (perf) component can be exploited to achieve local privilege escalation. If perf_read_group() is called while an event's sibling_list is smaller than its child's sibling_list, it can increment or write to memory locations outside of the allocated buffer. We recommend upgrading past commit 32671e3799ca2e4590773fd0e63aaa4229e50c06.
CVE-2023-46218 3 Fedoraproject, Haxx, Redhat 7 Fedora, Curl, Enterprise Linux and 4 more 2025-02-13 6.5 Medium
This flaw allows a malicious HTTP server to set "super cookies" in curl that are then passed back to more origins than what is otherwise allowed or possible. This allows a site to set cookies that then would get sent to different and unrelated sites and domains. It could do this by exploiting a mixed case flaw in curl's function that verifies a given cookie domain against the Public Suffix List (PSL). For example a cookie could be set with `domain=co.UK` when the URL used a lower case hostname `curl.co.uk`, even though `co.uk` is listed as a PSL domain.
CVE-2024-28849 1 Redhat 14 Acm, Advanced Cluster Security, Ansible Automation Platform and 11 more 2025-02-13 6.5 Medium
follow-redirects is an open source, drop-in replacement for Node's `http` and `https` modules that automatically follows redirects. In affected versions follow-redirects only clears authorization header during cross-domain redirect, but keep the proxy-authentication header which contains credentials too. This vulnerability may lead to credentials leak, but has been addressed in version 1.15.6. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.
CVE-2024-24790 2 Golang, Redhat 18 Go, Advanced Cluster Security, Ansible Automation Platform and 15 more 2025-02-13 9.8 Critical
The various Is methods (IsPrivate, IsLoopback, etc) did not work as expected for IPv4-mapped IPv6 addresses, returning false for addresses which would return true in their traditional IPv4 forms.
CVE-2024-24786 2 Golang, Redhat 23 Go, Acm, Cluster Observability Operator and 20 more 2025-02-13 7.5 High
The protojson.Unmarshal function can enter an infinite loop when unmarshaling certain forms of invalid JSON. This condition can occur when unmarshaling into a message which contains a google.protobuf.Any value, or when the UnmarshalOptions.DiscardUnknown option is set.
CVE-2024-24785 1 Redhat 17 Enterprise Linux, Kube Descheduler Operator, Logging and 14 more 2025-02-13 6.5 Medium
If errors returned from MarshalJSON methods contain user controlled data, they may be used to break the contextual auto-escaping behavior of the html/template package, allowing for subsequent actions to inject unexpected content into templates.
CVE-2024-24783 1 Redhat 22 Advanced Cluster Security, Ansible Automation Platform, Cert Manager and 19 more 2025-02-13 5.9 Medium
Verifying a certificate chain which contains a certificate with an unknown public key algorithm will cause Certificate.Verify to panic. This affects all crypto/tls clients, and servers that set Config.ClientAuth to VerifyClientCertIfGiven or RequireAndVerifyClientCert. The default behavior is for TLS servers to not verify client certificates.
CVE-2023-4244 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat 5 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 2 more 2025-02-13 7.8 High
A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's netfilter: nf_tables component can be exploited to achieve local privilege escalation. Due to a race condition between nf_tables netlink control plane transaction and nft_set element garbage collection, it is possible to underflow the reference counter causing a use-after-free vulnerability. We recommend upgrading past commit 3e91b0ebd994635df2346353322ac51ce84ce6d8.
CVE-2023-38546 2 Haxx, Redhat 6 Libcurl, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Core Services and 3 more 2025-02-13 3.7 Low
This flaw allows an attacker to insert cookies at will into a running program using libcurl, if the specific series of conditions are met. libcurl performs transfers. In its API, an application creates "easy handles" that are the individual handles for single transfers. libcurl provides a function call that duplicates en easy handle called [curl_easy_duphandle](https://curl.se/libcurl/c/curl_easy_duphandle.html). If a transfer has cookies enabled when the handle is duplicated, the cookie-enable state is also cloned - but without cloning the actual cookies. If the source handle did not read any cookies from a specific file on disk, the cloned version of the handle would instead store the file name as `none` (using the four ASCII letters, no quotes). Subsequent use of the cloned handle that does not explicitly set a source to load cookies from would then inadvertently load cookies from a file named `none` - if such a file exists and is readable in the current directory of the program using libcurl. And if using the correct file format of course.
CVE-2023-26115 2 Redhat, Word-wrap Project 7 Logging, Network Observ Optr, Openshift and 4 more 2025-02-13 5.3 Medium
All versions of the package word-wrap are vulnerable to Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) due to the usage of an insecure regular expression within the result variable.
